Lost In Success

We all talk about how to become successful; how we all strive to get there and become financially successful or secure. But then what?

I always told myself that once I’d become financially successful, I’d be able to do whatever I wanted – whenever I wanted. Then reality kicked in and another question popped up: “When could I say I was successful?” Well, one thing was for sure, I definitely wasn’t there yet!

Now, yes; even after all this time as a member of Deans Internet Profits, I hadn’t reached some sort of “success”, however small. Then again, I had made some sales but, in hindsight, what I had really gotten out of it all was that I had gained so much experience and knowledge.

Time and Knowledge

One big component of any online business that we tend to NOT take into consideration is this: the knowledge we gain over time while working our online business.

I look back at the group of us that, last year, had started regularly blogging on a weekly basis and that now, I find have maybe dwindled down to a handful of them who blog regularly. Even I found myself lost about this when I came back earlier this month.

Did this blogging not work? Did everyone just get busy on something else? I unfortunately don’t have any idea regarding the reasons why they stopped but one thing is  for sure, those who continued definitely did so with the prospect of getting better at it.

I hate to point fingers but in this case, I think it’s definitely worth it. One fellow blogger who has shown us that determination and actions will make this work is Atif. He not only has continued to blog on a regular basis but has had to go through some very demanding personal challenges, like the loss of a family member, as well as taking up a work contract that brings him away from home on a regular basis.

If there is someone who definitely deserves to have success it’s him! Oh, and since he’s got time (LOL), he’s also on Tik Tok where he’s documenting his progress of weight loss. Talk about being “fully invested into his success!”.

Which brings me back to my current situation. I’m questioning why – like Atif – am I not fully invested? I should be. I’ve been at this for longer than I can remember and believe that I can be successful at this.

Doing Versus Believing

The problem I face is that believing I can do versus actually doing what I need to do to become successful is the missing link. If you remember me saying this phrase from Dean: “Become a person capable of success” you will understand that it’s all about doing anything and everything that needs to be done to attain that focus and that success.

The great part about Dean and his team is that as long as you join, participate and do the work, they’ll never stop supporting you. Something you can’t say you see very often in the Affiliate Marketing world.

Most of the other online purchases I made (remember: shinny object syndrome), would disappear so quickly once payment had been done. One actually told me that I didn’t have what it takes to succeed — and yet did take my money!

It’s a rather ironic time. You could say that there’s no better time to succeed online, with AI and the different software that pretty much do a good portion of the work that is needed; it’s something that is also being sold as “the best of times” by those who just want your money.

Support Support Support

You will not find better support than those who work with Dean Holland. Period. Glenn, Sophie and all the team at Internet Profits are truly invested in your success. Weather it’s through the daily “AUA – Ask Us Anything” question periods or the weekly coaching with Dean he provides. Yes, I’m sold and yes, I’ve also invested in my success by buying several of his products like Accelerator PRO but that doesn’t mean that you have to. You can definitely start with the basics and work yourself up to these.

And that is where I truly believe that I also am in line with what Dean offers. Throughout my career – both in the Army and civilian – I’ve always looked at ways that I could help and support those around me. I never looked to be #1 or first in class; I always thought that helping those who needed it was their victory as well as mine.

Which is why my next step will be to participate in the 30 day challenge that Sophie is offering us to participate in. I’m looking forward to seeing where I need help, where the gained experiences are now helping me get ahead and more importantly, being able to write and update my weekly blog so that you can see where I stand!

The crazy thing in all of this is that not only do I believe that I can finally get the financial success I’ve been looking for but ironically, this will help me get prepared for July. That’s when the musical application my business partners and I have been working on for the past, oh 3 or 4 years (sometimes it seems much longer!) will come out. When I spoke to one of my partners yesterday evening, I mentioned to him that whatever happens, it has to come out in July! It might not be perfect at that time but with the help of those who will use it, we can make it better.

So, with that being said, I look forward to this coming Monday and the challenge that it will bring!

The Social Media platform I will be using during this upcoming challenge will be Tik Tok. To follow my progress please subscribe, my handle is @canadianwolfe . It’s so refreshing to see someone openly share their journey and admit that success isn’t just about hitting big numbers—it’s about growing, learning, and surrounding yourself with the right people. Atif’s story is really inspiring too—shows how showing up and sticking with it can make all the difference. Good luck with the 30-day challenge—I’m rooting for you! Keep sharing these insights and updates. I’ll definitely be following along on TikTok! Thanks for the honesty and for reminding us that progress is worth celebrating, no matter what stage we’re at. 💪✨

    1. Hi Sarah, appreciate your comment and definitely appreciate the vote of confidence! I’m trying to both keep myself grounded and take the necessary steps to get me to where I want to be! Hopefully I’m on the right path!

  2. This post really struck a chord. That question—“When can I say I’m successful?”—is one I think so many of us wrestle with. It’s easy to overlook the quiet wins: the knowledge gained, the consistency practiced, the community we stay connected to even when motivation dips. I admire your honesty about the gap between belief and action—such a powerful insight. And I love that you’re stepping into the 30-day challenge with renewed purpose. Rooting for your musical project, your blogging journey, and everything you’re building with heart and grit. Subscribed and cheering you on!

    1. Hi Alison,
Truly appreciate your comment and support! This month of June should definitely be the start of something good! The support from the community as well as those participating in the challenge will definitely help as well.

  3. Hi Marc, as usual, I like to listen to your voice in these blog posts. I find your voice soothing including the message you impart. I agree, Dean and his team are 100% supportive and accomplished in what we are all attempting to achieve. And it’s true, not many give the personal experience like they do. We are all special, in their eyes. I appreciate that!! As for the 30 day challenge, i will follow you on TT. My platform will be You Tube, as I climb the ladder to monetizing my channel!! Plus, I’ve been emailing my list everyday through the FB Lead ad adventure Sophie has provided. She is excellent. Onward!!

    1. Hi Kate, now you’re going to make me blush! The one thing that is definitely a big plus is the community we are all a part of; everyone just wants to help each other out. Definitely looking forward to following everyone as well; I think that we can all learn from each others ups and downs! Definitely onward!

  4. Hey Marc,
This is such a thoughtful post about the realities of entrepreneurship. It takes courage to be this transparent about the ups and downs of building a business online. The distinction you make between believing you can succeed and actually doing the work needed is so true, that’s often where people get stuck.

We really did find a solid community with Dean, and that kind of support system is invaluable. Good for you for committing to the 30-day challenge, accountability means everythingin this business…

Exciting that your musical app is finally launching in July! Sometimes you just have to put it out there and iterate based on feedback. Wishing you all the best with both ventures!

    1. Hi Meredith, yup, I told my business partner that the app needs to come out in July – rain or shine LOL!
The one big thing that I can see happening is everyone from Deans team to others, can help us make it better from month to month. I’m not looking for perfection – I’m just looking to get it out there so that we can both monetize our work as well as helping musicians and teachers alike. All the best to your endeavours as well!

  5. Hi Marc – I, for one, I’m thrilled that you are back blogging. Sharing your journey like you do not only offers hope to us who are in similar situations but also allows us to have some commonality and a sense of support. One thing that you do that is different than most bloggers is that you offer audio with your blog post. I hope this part of your blog never changes. I don’t necessarily need it for disability purposes, but I do appreciate that I can sit back and listen to your calm deep voice to tell your story. Sometimes I read along. Thanks for your transparency and I look forward to following you in your blog posts and in your video content… which by the way, good luck and I will be rooting for you!

    1. Hi Ernie, now I’m blushing my friend! LOL! Appreciate the fact that I can also provide an alternative way to get the info of my blog; I figured that since I had the experience & knowledge to include voice-over, why not include it? Then someone turned around and told me that it was a good idea because he could listen to my blog while driving his kids to school. Not bad I figured!
Thanks again for your great comment and support. Looking forward to continuing this odyssey of mine!
