Let’s face it, we all know that if you can’t market your product, you won’t make any sales and no sales means: out of business.
Affiliate Marketing has been pushed by many as the easiest way to make money. I’ve talked about it in one of my previous blog entries “Why Affiliate Marketing?” the link will bring you to read it on my blog entry. Essentially, you don’t have any customers to answer to, you provide a link or a connection to the product you want to sell and voilà! Money in the bank! Or maybe not….
Selling To The Right Crowd
I’ve also been told that if you reach the right people at the right time, they are most likely to make a purchase. I agree but how do you get to the right people? and at what time?
Marketing has made leaps and bounds since I first took a swing at it in the mind 80’s. Back then, word of mouth was my biggest seller. I was selling t-shirts that I was importing from China. The one big difference was that, at the time, I worked for a telex company (younger folks will need to Google that), and was able to not only work with my suppliers to get the perfect colors customers wanted on their t-shirts but I was getting them done, prepared and shipped within a couple of weeks when ordinarily, it could take 3-4 weeks or more to get shipped.
Today, with everyone not only selling on different Social Media platforms but also via Amazon, MarketPlace, etc.. and being able to process your payments via PayPal, Payoneer, Stripe or SquareUp, or any other mobile payment, gives you one big leg up in not only selling your product but, more importantly, also receiving payments in a timeline that would have been unthought of 5, 10 or 15 years ago. We all know that proper income of your sales – in a timely manner – can make or break your business.
But there’s a catch: being able to get your customers to not only see the product you are looking to sell but purchase it outright is the key to your success. Being able to reach those customers is the new marketing that you need to become very proficient at today.
You could advertise until your budget is overdrawn but if you’re not reaching and selling to the right crowd, you’re dead in the water.
Online Marketing: Becoming The Unsung Hero
I’m the first one to admit it: I suck at Social Media marketing. period. I know what marketing is. I know what I need to do to get my business marketing off the ground and properly use the funds I’ve allocated for it but when it comes to Social Media, I’m the one dead in the water.
Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, let’s talk about what I know I am good at. One big thing: since working with Dean here at Internet Profits, I’ve learnt that selling in todays markets – with all the tools readily available – is not only a tricky thing to do but, if you do it right, it can definitely be successful.
The key to that: becoming proficient on ONE Social Media platform is key. You’ll hear Dean say it time and time again.
For example, if you decided to use Tik Tok and YouTube to promulgate your videos, then do yourself a big favour: become proficient on one of them and then move to another. Once you’ve mastered that, you definitely can move on to another platform but becoming proficient on ONE Social Media platform, that is key to your success.
Using Systems To Win
You may already know this but in this digital age of ecommerce, you need several different software’s to get to where you want to be with your sales. A software to host your website, another software to manage the emails you want to send to potential buyers. Another software to manage the distribution of these emails – unless you want to do it manually… Another software to process and accept payments. Now throw in AI into the fold these days and you’ve got yourself another thing to understand and learn!
Now what if I told you that there was a system out there that could do all of that, and even more? It exists and it’s called Affiliate System. (Unfortunately, it’s currently offered only to a select few by Dean at Internet Profits), is one such software.
It gives you the advantage of not only having all of what you need to be successful online in one place, but also saves you quite a lot of money when you consider that you have to pay for all of the above software’s I mentioned – all with rising costs no less…
Affiliate System also gives you the automation a good marketing plan requires: it will send out the emails you’ve created, (with the help of AI if need be), on the timeline you’ve chosen.
Remember when I talked about those Tik Tok videos? Well, if you want to, you can also have those posted on YouTube automatically. You’ve got something written, like this blog? OK, then set-up the posting of it to both your website and Facebook and voilà! Done.
One other big thing that I didn’t talk about: it also provides training via the Classroom of the Affiliate System Community. Both of these are truly a leg-up to your success! One will provide you with the Core Blueprint for your online success and the other will provide the support a community of like-minded individuals offers.
Now that does sound all great and dandy but where and when can I sign-up is what you’ll probably ask me? Dean has mentioned that we should be able to offer access to the Affiliate System in a short while. Maybe a Christmas gift to everyone who wants to succeed online in 2024 and 2025 is in the works? Subscribe to my blog and I’ll keep you posted!
Like what you’re reading or have questions? Don’t be shy, write it up in the comments section for me to reply and more importantly, don’t forget to subscribe to my blog and Tik Tok account @canadianwolfe for continuous insights and tips. Together, let’s leverage the proven methods from Dean Holland’s Affiliate System to create a sustainable income stream.
To your success…to our success!
Marc,
Sometimes I think success in Affiliate marketing means never giving up. I have seen plenty of people come and go over the years, but sending out a consistent message keeps people coming back. I feel like I am always learning and getting better. Finding customers is like a courtship, and keep asking them to Dance.
Hey Marc.
Great post. You’re right about picking one platform and sticking with it until you reach proficiency – and only then moving on to using another platform. Something I knew, but had let slip. Glad you reminded me again.
I’m looking forward to reading your next post.
Hi Marc,
Great post! You really hit on the challenges of reaching the right audience at the right time, it’s essential but often tricky. I know I am struggling with this myself right now. Your story of selling t-shirts back in the day highlights how much marketing has changed, especially with the rise of social media and the need for quick, efficient tools. I agree that focusing on one platform first is smart, trying to manage multiple without mastering one can spread anyone too thin. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to hearing more about your progress!
Meredith
Hi Marc! As being one of the select few, I’m using Affiliate System and wonder what I will have done without it. I must say that this platform gave another dimension to my work and my progress with affiliate marketing. I’m happy with it no doubt.
Being proficient on one social media platform is key and you must allow enough time for you to master it before jumping on another one, otherwise it’s overwhelming.
Looking forward to promote AS along with you.
Martin
This was a great read! You totally nailed it on how crucial it is to hit the right audience, especially in today’s social media-driven world. The bit about “selling to the right crowd” really hit home for me – it’s like shouting into a void if you’re not targeting the right people! And I feel you on social media marketing struggles; it’s not as simple as just posting anymore. I really need to work on this. Thank you!
Hi Marc – Marketing in this business really is key. It’s even in the name Affiliate MARKETING! And I too am not very good at social media marketing. I’m starting to dig into and give TikTok a try and I’m confident that it will work if I just keep at it and remain consistent. Thank you for your very transparent blog posts. I read them each week and truly find value in what you have to say as your content is not only motivating but confirms many of my thoughts as well. Great week!
Hi Marc, this is a good summary of the ins and outs of marketing our products and most importantly, ourselves. That’s where the videos come in. People tend to trust us when they see us.
I like the way you introduce the Affiliate System, here. I hope it soon becomes available.
