August Action Plan – Part 3 of 4 We’re on a Roll!

So far so good! We’re halfway there! I think I’m really starting to like this action plan for August!

We’re on week 3 of 4 and to recap, for the past 2 weeks, you’ve been following along with me for my August Action Plan since I’ve been on vacation for the past couple of weeks, I had previously recorded both my blog entries and the Tik Tok videos that hopefully many have looked at and more importantly, provided feedback on.

Since I’m pre-recording this blog entry as well and haven’t had the chance to go check the comments yet — who am I kidding… I’ve gone on Tik Tok and my blog and I have to say a quick thank you because I’ve seen some comments which are greatly appreciated!

That being said, time for part 3 or week 3 of our 4 week plan!

Last week, we talked about how important certain metrics, such as the watch times as well as the completion time goals, are such an important part of your success on Tik Tok. Mastering these metrics will definitely mean that you will not only be providing great content but will also have engaged followers.

Clear Goals & Objectives

We all agree that having life goals and clear objectives in your life will not only help you achieve success, it will also help you keep you focused on what you need to do to achieve that success.

When it comes to your Tik Tok videos, If your videos are clear as to what the objective is – what you offer, what they need to do to get that offer and what it costs as well as what they get – you will have achieved what many want to achieve but seem to stop doing just as success points its head!

That being said, as Dean previously told us, there is a proven video structure that you must use to increase your chances of success. There are 4 clear steps to use to best connect with the right people you want as subscribers:

  1. The Hook – The first few seconds of your video will provide the “hook” and catch your audiences attention. Because so many have a low attention span, you need to keep them interested.
  2. The Build-Up – When done right, this is the short statement you make that will make the viewer stick around until you give them something worthwhile.
  3. The Delivery – The “value” part of your video, this is where you’re telling your story, giving them tips, educating them.
  4. The Call To Action – You want to end your video with a “call-to-action” where you’re essentially telling them to “click to subscribe” and stay connected.

You definitely want your videos to become viral so using the above 4 steps will definitely help in getting to that point. Making sure that you include specific examples like giving a great hook or an “aha moment” will help.

Another strategy Tik Tok video creators use are “Hashtags”. Now in order to find good Hashtags, you need to search for existing Hashtags that are both popular and specific to your niche. Using the search parameters in Tik Tok either by volume or by topic. Note: you want to use Hashtags to optimize each video you create, they’re not there to attract specific types of followers.

Let’s face it, with the amount of videos currently out there, the other component you definitely want to make sure is: you need to come across as genuine. No need to use the car salesman strategy of yelling or mentioning that this is the easiest thing to do since sliced bread to get to a million dollars! Being fake, won’t cut it.

As I’ve stated all along this journey, I want to make sure that everybody understands that there is work to be done to get there and it will take time; it won’t happen overnight.

One last strategy I found to be quite effective is to follow 5 to 10 Creators that are in my niche and check out their videos. You don’t want to copy what they’re doing but they will give you great ideas on how you can become better at either presenting yours or how you present your content.

So here’s to week 3 of my August action plan being done! As I’ve previously mentioned, I appreciate you going to check my videos on Tik Tok  and letting me know how I can present or provide better content. Next week, week 4 and a recap of our August Action Plan.

Like what you’re reading or have questions? Don’t be shy, write it up in the comments section for me to reply and more importantly, don’t forget to subscribe!

To your success…to our success!

Thank you for your comment & yes, the August plan is bearing fruit and I’m learning quite a bit in that same time which is even better!
Thank you for your support on this!

  2. Marc, I truly commend you; it’s clear that you’re putting a lot of thought and effort into optimizing your TikTok strategy. I especially resonate with your emphasis on having clear goals and objectives for each video. The structured approach you outlined, from the hook to the call to action, is a fantastic way to ensure that your content not only captures attention but also provides real value. I also appreciate your advice on hashtags and the importance of authenticity. It’s a reminder that while trends and tactics are important, staying genuine and connecting with your audience on a real level is crucial for long-term success. Appreciate your comment and will definitely provide a week 4 summary. Take care.

  3. Marc hope your enjoying your vacation and getting plenty of R&R! I have started watching your TT videos and find them very interesting. You have also offered some good advice in your post to help boast your profile. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hi Ken,
Appreciate your comment and support. Trying to get the most out of the vacation: learning new strategies and how to best put them in place so that I can be as productive as possible!

  4. Hi Marc,

Thank you for sharing another insightful update on your August Action Plan! It’s great to see how you’re strategically working through each week and offering valuable tips for success on TikTok. The breakdown of the proven video structure is particularly helpful, and those four steps really do seem like a solid framework for creating engaging content.

I also appreciate the reminder about the importance of hashtags and following creators within our niche to gain inspiration. I am new to TikTok and just forgot to add hashtags to my latest post. 🤦‍♀️ I can’t believe I forgot them… I’m still learning the platform. I will have to do better! Authenticity is key, and it’s good to hear that from someone who’s clearly putting in the work to achieve long-term success.

Looking forward to next week’s recap and continuing to follow along with your journey. Thanks for all the great content and advice!

    1. Hi Meredith,
We are both learning about how to get better at doing these videos; I can’t wait to see how great we will look in a couple of months!
Here’s to your continued growth and all of us getting a bunch of subscribers in the long run!
      All the best!

  5. That’s a great idea to follow 5 to 10 creators in your niche. I have found you don’t even have to have them in your niche. Some niches have a lot of the same messaging.

I’ll keep your four steps to connect – handy.

    1. Hi Robert,
You are absolutely correct; no need to have the same niche – although I found that by doing so, you can directly correlate to what they are doing and apply that info to my videos – without copying them of course.
      Thanks for your great comment!

  6. Marc, Great job on staying consistent with your August Action Plan! It’s inspiring to see how you’re using clear goals and a structured approach to create engaging TikTok content. The tips on mastering metrics and the 4-step video structure are super helpful for anyone looking to improve their online presence. Following other creators in your niche for inspiration is a smart move too. Looking forward to the week 4 recap and seeing how this all comes together! Atif

    1. Hi Atif,
Thank you for your comment, its proven to be a little harder than anticipated but it was definitely worth the effort and knowing now what I learnt will definitely be a great support to getting better at this!
Thank you again for being such a great mentor to us!
      All the best!

  7. Hey, Marc!
It’s so exciting to see your plan come together. I tend to have an overall plan and plan week by week. It’s so exciting to see your excitement at your month planning building momentum that I’m going to try it. Thanks for sharing your TikTok strategies, especially the hashtag part.
Here’s to finishing August strong! Keep that momentum going!
    Nakina

    1. Hi Nakina,
Thank you for your comment and yes, I definitely want to finish August in a strong way. Even though I feel that I did better than anticipated, I’m walking away from this vacation period with more knowledge, more understanding and better patience towards myself.
Take care & yup, here’s to a great end of August!

  8. HI Marc- This is such great information and I especially appreciate the audio reading of your blog. Very creative and you have a fantastic voice. The value-added tips are key and put in a way that is easy to follow. I especially like your explanation of hashtags – something I need to get better at for my videos. GREAT Blog post!!

    1. Hi Ernie,
Appreciate your comments and I also need to get better at those hashtags! Looking forward to complete my August action plan with the last couple of weeks!
      All the best!

  9. Hi Marc, your explanation on how to present compelling videos will be most useful to anyone just starting out. I have seen yours and just love the content. You have such great presence on camera. The only criticism I have is that the lighting could be better. The recent ones in particular are very dark. Other than that tiny, minor point, I think you’re doing a great job.

    1. Hi Andy,
Appreciate your comment and yes, even my VP (wife) told me that the lighting needed to be done better! LOL!
We will get better and we will definitely make better videos in the near future! Appreciate you taking the time to comment and provide some great positive information!
      All the best!

    1. Hi Scott,
Thank you for your comment and yes, great idea to study other creators! They have great ideas and, with their experience, can cut down on your learning time – by that I mean that you’ll be able to learn from them instead of your mistakes all in a shorter period of time. 🙂
      Appreciate you dropping by!
