August Action Plan – Part 4 of 4 Recap!

So here’s the last blog of our August Action Plan! As you may recall, I was on vacation for the first two weeks of August and then all my week-ends were pretty much all busy being out of town. So since my time was limited, I decided to write-up the 4 weeks of blog entries, pre-record the audios for these blogs and record and structure to post my Tik Tok videos – 3 per week starting with the first week of August.

Let’s do a quick recap of what went right – and what didn’t go as planned.

Because I was able to find a specific subject that I could cut into 4 weeks blog, I think it was easier for me to structure these blog entries and write them up. I had predetermined what each weeks subject would be and then detailed the subject into sub-entries. That also made the recording of the audio part easier to plan and record.

I think the biggest challenge I found was the Tik Tok videos themselves. I know that I could talk about the subject that I had blogged about for that given week but I felt that it lacked substance and then I decided to change it up a bit and by using the 4 core video structures I talked about last week, I think I was in a better position to present good videos.

Were they great? I don’t think so. I think I can get better at them with practice and time.

In all honesty, there isn’t that much that didn’t go well. I’d say everything was made easy because I planned each weeks blog entry and wrote down what my Tik Tok videos would talk about.

Speaking of these videos, I had to redo several takes of them; not because the recording didn’t flow well, but more because sometimes instead of keeping myself to what I had written down – hence my script – I’d let the little hamster in my head spin that wheel so fast that I’d lose tract of what I was supposed to be saying instead of what I wanted to say.

Now the great part of this “experiment”, if I can call it that, is the fact that by using Dean’s Affiliate System, I could use one of its components to program the dates that I wanted my Tik Tok videos to be published! Pretty neat right? I essentially prepared, recorded, edited and finalized the videos and just plucked it into Affiliate System and told it: “post it that date!” and I didn’t have to think about it! Talk about leave it and forget it!

The even better part of that is that if I wanted the video to be published into 2 or 3 Social Media accounts – I could program it and it would get done. One shop place! No need to go directly into that Social Media account and upload it, it was delivered directly from Affiliate System.

Having that software – with it’s multitude of other parameters – makes it a big game-changer for anyone wanting to get into Affiliate Marketing. I really can’t wait to be able to show it to everyone!

So that’s been my August experiment and action plan. Week 4 is done and I truly appreciate everyone who was along with me and provided valuable feedback within their comments and of course having checked on my blog entries and my videos on Tik Tok  and letting me know how I can provide better content.

Maybe it’s time to plan for September? I’ll keep you posted!

  1. This is awesome, Marc. Very relatable since I was on vacation in July and got behind. You have a great audio voice and I love this format. I am not at that point in the BA training (slowly progressing) but when I am, this is very inspirational. Well done!

    1. Hi Jordan,
Thank you for your comments and continue on! You’re always further ahead than where you were so you’re never behind!
      All the best!

  2. Hi Marc,

It’s impressive how you managed to plan and execute everything, especially with your time being limited. The idea of breaking down a subject into four weekly blog posts is such a smart strategy, definitely a terrific way to stay organized and focused.

I can totally relate to the challenges you faced with the TikTok videos. It’s all about finding that balance between staying on script and letting your creativity flow. I have a tough time with both of those things… The fact that you recognized the need for structure and then adapted by using the 4 core video structures shows your ability to improve.

Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for September! Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your journey. It’s inspiring to see how you’re continuously learning and evolving.

    1. Hi Meredith,
fantastic comment, thank you! Definitely looking forward to your Tik Tok videos as well and your increase in subscribers and viewers! My inspiration is a direct relationship from those like you who provide great support; thank you!

  3. Some people I know on You Tube take a morning in their week to create all the videos they plan to do for that week and get them done. Since I am more of a spontaneous person, I just do them everyday. If I decided to go on vacation, I would do what you describe here. But videos can be done anywhere with my trusty iPhone! Nothing else is needed. If I actually did all the videos for the week at one or two sittings, something more pressing would surely happen to tickle my fancy and make a video about it.

For now, I do the spontaneity method!

    1. Hi Kate,
Thank you for your great comment! Maybe my next phone needs to be an iPhone! LOL! In any case, I think you bring a great point regarding the recording of spontaneous videos; I’ll probably get there at one point but for now, I prefer getting them done ahead of time – I also have another business that is coming along so time is really precious!
      All the best!

  4. Congratulations on your success, Marc! It’s so exciting when a plan comes together! It’s amazing that Affiliate System can post your videos to multiple social media platforms by a schedule! I look forward to using that feature! I think I will try your tactic and plan a whole month ahead. What a way to get clarity and a sense of victory at the end of the month! Thanks for the idea!
    To our success!

    1. Hi Nakina,
Thank you for such a great post and compliment. It is a great software to have considering that a few years ago, anything close to this type of application wasn’t even thought of or possible.
Wishing you all the best for the future.

  5. Marc you sparked my curiosity about being able to pick a topic where you could create 4 blogs. I think that would be an extremely helpful tip! I struggle with figuring out my weekly topics much less a months full. Even though you are getting back to normal you must feel really good about your accomplishments while you were gone, I would!

    1. Hi Ken,
Thank you for your comment and yes, I definitely feel good about my August accomplishments! Breaking down what you want to talk about into weekly topics is definitely something to look at; gives you more latitude in regards to getting your message across – and, if you’re good at it: everybody will come back! win-win!
      All the best!

  6. Wow, Marc, I’m impressed. It’s a chore for me to do one video, let alone four. You must be very organized and have it all laid out and ready to go. Good job. I didn’t realize that AS could upload your video and schedule delivery. I knew you could with the blog, but wow, that’s a game-changer. I want to get more organized like that, do more videos at once, and get them edited and scheduled so I don’t have to worry so much about when I’m going to “have to” do a video to stay consistent. I wish doing the videos would get easier, and I’m sure it will at some point, but for now, it’s a chore. Great post, Marc!

    1. Hi Vanessa,
Thank you for your comment – I’m blushing! LOL! I think that my organizational skills need to be even more honed in the near future! I also have another business that will be starting up soon & that means less time to take care of these videos & blog!
But until we get there, it’s full steam ahead! Truly appreciate your positive comment & support!

  7. Hello Marc! This is what I would call organization! Well done and well thought to use Affiliate System to your advantage. You made me laugh with your hamster spinning. I’m like you, when I record a video sequence, my mind think more than just what I have to say and as a result, I getting lost in my sentences and forget my script. I can do again the same sequence 10 times before I’m finally satisfied with it.😄
Hope you did a nice trip to Chambly.
Make a stop to see me next time if you pass near Rigaud!

  8. Your August Action Plan sounds like it was a well-organized and productive journey, even with the challenges you faced!

I’m impressed with how you managed to structure your blog content and pre-record everything despite being on vacation and having limited time.

I completely relate to the challenge of creating TikTok videos.

I am struggling with editing one TikTok video and it has thrown my blog post plans
    out of sequence …

It’s a different medium with its own set of challenges, and working out what to talk about and then editing, I am still at the beginning stage.

Since August went so well – September will be great!!

What you are doing is inspiring and look forward to more of your journey and learning from you.
    Thank you,
    Eleanor

    1. Hi Eleanor,
Thank you for your comment and support, it means the world to me.
I’m looking forward to setting-up September in even a better way so that I can have a strong structure and get everything done within a better timeline.
      All the best!
