Hello everyone, it’s been quite the last couple of months. Between the projects here at home, the death of a family member which brought us away from home; throw in the daily work and the finalization of my other pet project, a musical app that should come out in the New Year, and you’ve got an answer as to why there hasn’t been any regular weekly blog entries for the past couple of months.
During that time, I remember having a chat with a friend of mine regarding my blog and I mentioned to him that after a year writing pretty much every week, it had become somewhat of a regular thing to do but then, as we laughed, life does get in the way sometimes…
Year In Review
So looking back at what I had wanted to happen in 2024, where I wanted to be and accomplish, I think I can be honest enough and state that I’m nowhere near where I want to be. I had placed several markers during the year to validate where I wanted to be, such as sales happening by December 2024 and then something happened along the line that threw everything out of sync: life.
I think the biggest regret I have though was not keeping the focus I needed to have on my business to have the results I was looking for. I had also placed quite a lot of hope on that musical app I mentioned above on being out there and being available for sales by this time. That is probably my biggest regret.
The other thing I also regret is not asking enough questions to Dean and his team. Several times I thought that because of my time limitations, it would be best if I tried to find the solution and work it out on my own. The bad thing about that was that most of the time the answer I found wasn’t either appropriate or fully answered my question.
The other thing is that if I asked that question, there was most likely someone else who probably thought about it as well or who, like me, didn’t think it was advantageous to ask the question. Anyways, one thing is for sure, that’s one thing I have to change for 2025. Even if I can’t be there “live”, I can always listen to the recording and find out the answer that’s been provided.
Saying I Don’t Know Is Ok
In looking back on every time I’ve been interested in an internet product, I’ve also always been faced with “sellers” that were pretty much only interested in selling their product and letting me know that “all my questions would be answered” within the training…even if that was rarely the case.
I’ve also figured out that those same sellers were never really interested in making sure that my questions were answered. They were interested in one thing and one thing only: selling me their product and making money. Period.
before being in contact with Dean and the staff at Internet Profits, I had never heard any of the previous products I had purchased respond to any of my questions by stating: “I don’t know the answer to that question but let me find it and get back to you” and actually getting back to me with an answer. Something Dean has done so many times since I’ve known him.
Taking The Time To Learn And Applying That Knowledge
If you look at the current job you have – whatever it may be – one thing is for sure…when you started, you really didn’t know what you were doing, right? But as you got training – hopefully mentorship as well – you got better and better at it and now, you could probably do it with your eyes closed, (ok, maybe not if you’re a welder) but you get what I mean.
The same thing applies to anything relative to the internet and making money online. You first have to give yourself the chance to learn what you are going to do and how you’re going to apply it moving forward. It might be frustrating sometimes but one thing is for sure – you’re moving forward!
And, as I’ve learnt these past few months because of the training I took via either Sophie or Dean at Internet Profits, not everything is going to go either as you planned or as you liked it to go. You will have times when you are wondering if you did the right thing, you might even find yourself wanting to quit… but if you stick to it…continue to have support and mentorship – just like I’m offering here – you will succeed!
Speaking of not going as planned. We are all talking about Tik Tok these days. T US wanting to have the Chinese company sold to another party due to security reasons as well as here in Canada having their offices closed down and staff being let go.
One reality we all need to keep in mind is that the training we receive and acquire for any one of these Social Media services, like for Tik Tok, is most likely applicable to another one. As they say: if a door closes, another one will most likely open.
I sincerely hope that some solution will be found but let’s not forget: these are businesses that generate millions of dollars of sales and revenue as well and taxes. Something both governments will definitely look at prior to taking any final steps.
Everything Takes Time
So what does all of this mean? Contrary to what is being said…you won’t become a millionaire in that first month! Shocking right???
All kidding aside though, we all know that everything takes time. You may have fallen in love right away but it took time to really get to know your partner, right?
Anybody who plays an instrument can also attest to having to take the time to learn and then get better at playing that instrument. Same thing goes for selling on the internet and using the currently available software’s to generate that revenue: it takes time.
Like I mentioned in another post, your best line of defense is to start with a plan and a timeline to put that plan into effect and I can’t think of a better time than now, being at the end of the year, to get that plan setup and ready for the New Year! I can’t wait to share my plan for 2025 next week with you!
Like what you’re reading or have questions? Don’t be shy, write it up in the comments section for me to reply and more importantly, don’t forget to subscribe to my blog and Tik Tok account @canadianwolfe for continuous insights and tips. To your success…to our success!
Marc, good to see that you are back at it – really. 🙂
Your section, “Saying I don’t know is OK” rings out to me. I attended some training sessions this past week from a prior trainer, knowing full well that I could not afford what he would be offering at the end of the training. Still I asked some simple questions that I know would be answered on the other side. And even though he stated he would answer all our questions – he conveniently skipped answering mine.
Surely Dean and staff at Internet Profits are of a different breed and they go out of their way to answer our questions and help us understand.
‘Tis the Season. Merry Christmas to you and your family Marc!
Wow, what a whirlwind of a post! It’s clear you’ve had a lot on your plate these past few months, but it’s so inspiring to see how you’re reflecting on it all with honesty and determination. Life really does have a way of throwing curveballs, but your perspective about sticking with it and learning from the bumps in the road is a great reminder to all of us.
I love your point about asking questions—so many of us fall into the trap of thinking we need to figure everything out on our own. It’s such a good lesson to remember that reaching out for help isn’t just okay—it’s essential! Thanks for sharing such a candid and motivational post.
Hi Marc! Regarding TikTok let’s keep posting and grow because it’s right that what we train here are skills that can be applied to any social medias. I”my a bit sad for TikTok shop affiliate in Canada because it was another possible source of income we will need to find elsewhere. Looking back at all what you’ve done this year, give you a tap in the back because what you made is progress!

Marc- This is such an inspiring post! You, like so many of us, have had a year that sometimes feels like two years, right? What I get from your post is what I strive to do the most and that is to stay focused. I have to try to trust the process, trust my mentors and most importantly, trust myself. Thank you for being transparent in this post as many of us have had a crazy year and while it’s not good that everybody has suffered losses or pitfalls, it is good to know that we have support. Cheers to you and have a great week!
Hi Marc,
Thank you for sharing your journey and reflections! It takes courage to acknowledge both achievements and setbacks, and your honesty about the challenges of balancing life and work is really relatable. I admire your determination to learn and grow, even in the face of difficulties. I’m excited to hear more about your musical app and the plans you have for 2025! Your insights about asking questions and seeking mentorship are valuable reminders for all of us. Looking forward to following your progress and learning from your experiences.
The Best Is Yet To Come! Keep pushing my friend.
Hi Marc,
Life definitely can get in the way sometimes. The fact that you got through that stretch and then got back into writing says a lot mate.
I am also learning how to do things on Tik Tok. Being in Australia, I don’t have to worry about the app being banned (not in the near future anyway), but – as you say – those skills are transferable to other social media platforms, so it’s worth it to continue.
One part that hit me right between the eyes is where you talk about making a plan and setting milestones along the way so that you can track your progress.
That is definitely something that I need to do for 2025. We are absolutely in the right time of year to do our planning for next year, so you’ve inspired me to go and do that before the end of the year.
Thanks Marc.

Hi Marc,
It’s inspiring to see how you’ve navigated the challenges of this past year while keeping your goals in focus. Life does have a way of throwing curveballs, but your determination to learn, adapt, and grow shines through.
I’m excited to hear more about your musical app! It sounds like a fascinating project with a lot of potential. Creating something like that takes such a unique combination of creativity, technical skill, and persistence, it’s no small feat. I’d love to know more about its features or what inspired you to develop it. Are you planning to tie it into your business in some way, or is it a passion project?
Looking forward to hearing about your plan for 2025 and seeing how everything comes together! Your insights and transparency are so valuable, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. Wishing you continued success and a fantastic New Year!
Meredith
Hi Marc,
Great post, with so many important reflections and mentions.
When life happens, we never know what’s coming and how it’s going to play out but we choose to figure it out as we go and hope for the best. Of course, planning and executing as best we can. I can relate to not being near where I want to be as well, and to having one heck of a crazy year. But we didn’t give up, did we 🙂
My condolences on your family member passing away and all the best in this coming year!
